2026–27 Travel Soccer Tryouts
Registration Open for 2026–27 Travel Soccer Tryouts
Players interested in joining Delmarva Rush Travel Soccer for the 2026–27 season must complete tryout registration in advance.
Tryout Registration Fee: $20 Registration includes a Delmarva Rush tryout shirt.
All players must register to attend tryouts, including returning Delmarva Rush players.
Players are encouraged to attend as many sessions as they can.
Tryout Sessions will be:
6-7:30 PM at Sandhill Fields Complex
for all players.
Boys Teams (2019-2006)
Monday, May 11 & Wednesday, May 20
Girls Teams (2019-2006)
Wednesday, May 13 & Monday, May 18
Player Development Program (PDP) –
Developmental Training
Our Player Development Program (PDP) is designed for younger players who are building foundational skills and preparing for competitive team play.
Players in PDP who are ready for the next step are encouraged to attend travel tryouts so coaches can evaluate them for placement on a team.

When are tryouts being held?
Tryouts for the 2026–27 travel season will take place on the following dates:
- Boys Teams: May 11 and May 20
- Girls Teams: May 13 and May 18
Registered players will receive their specific age group time and field location before tryouts.
Where are Delmarva Rush tryouts held?
Tryouts are held at Sandhill Fields in Georgetown, Delaware, serving players from across Sussex County and the surrounding Delmarva region.
Do returning Delmarva Rush players need to register?
Yes. All players must register for tryouts, including returning Delmarva Rush players. Registration is required so we can properly plan evaluations and organize teams.
What age groups can try out for Delmarva Rush travel soccer?
Delmarva Rush offers travel teams for U8–U18 boys and girls. Players will attend tryouts based on their school-year age group (Aug 1-July31) for the 2026–27 season.
Should Player Development Program (PDP)players attend travel tryouts?
Yes. Players currently participating in our Player Development Program (PDP) who are interested in joining a Pre-Travel team should still attend tryouts. Attending tryouts allows our coaches to properly evaluate players and ensure placement on the appropriate Pre-Travel or travel team for the upcoming season.
Do players need prior travel soccer experience?
No. Players of different experience levels are encouraged to attend. Our coaches evaluate players based on technical ability, effort, attitude, and potential for development.
How are age groups determined for the 2026–27 season?
Beginning with the 2026–27 season, youth soccer is transitioning from birth-year age groups to school-year age groups (Aug 1-July 31).
This change helps align players with classmates and teammates from their grade level.
Does my child have to tryout with their new age group?
Yes. All Players will Tryout within their age group. We understand there may be exceptions that will be approved by club leadership and the coach.
When will team placements be announced?
Team placements are typically communicated shortly after tryouts are completed, once coaches have finalized evaluations.
Players who are selected will receive an offer letter with a commitment deadline to accept their roster spot for the upcoming season.
What is the difference between recreational soccer and travel soccer?
Travel soccer provides a more competitive environment than recreational soccer. Players typically train multiple times per week, compete in regional leagues and tournaments, and focus on skill development, teamwork, and higher-level competition.
