Delmarva Rush Excels at the 2025 Cecil Fall Blast Tournament with Strong Results Across All Teams

Champions: 2016 Boys & 2015 Girls

Delmarva Rush Soccer Club proudly wrapped up a successful weekend at the Cecil Fall Blast Soccer Tournament held November 15–16, where four teams represented the club across boys’ and girls’ divisions. The tournament showcased competitive matchups from across the region, and Delmarva Rush athletes delivered standout performances, teamwork, and determination.

Delmarva Rush was represented by the 2016 Boys, 2018 Boys, 2015 Girls, and 2017 Girls teams. The club celebrated two championship titles and a finalist finish among impressive overall results.

The 2016 Boys earned the championship title in their bracket, winning all three matches and allowing only three goals against across the weekend. Their balanced team play, smart defending, and consistent pressure created a strong foundation for success.

The 2015 Girls dominated their division, finishing the tournament as champions with a perfect shutout weekend. They won all three matches without conceding a single goal—an extraordinary achievement that showcases both strong defensive unity and confident attacking play.

Finalists: 2018 Boys

The 2018 Boys team turned in an impressive performance of their own, advancing to the championship match and finishing as finalists. Their run to the finals highlighted the team’s resilience, growth, and competitive spirit.

Strong Effort: 2017 Girls

The 2017 Girls placed 5th out of 6 teams in a challenging bracket. While facing tough competition, the players demonstrated determination, teamwork, and continued skill development that sets a positive trajectory for future tournaments.


“We’re incredibly proud of all four teams,” said the Delmarva Rush Head of Player Development Shannon Anfuso. “From championship wins to hard-fought games, every group displayed effort, growth, and true Rush character. These results reflect the dedication of our players, families, and coaches.”

As the club builds on this successful weekend and begins preparing for the next phase of the season, Delmarva Rush is gearing up for its Winter Academy and Indoor Training Program, beginning in January. These sessions help players continue refining their skills during the off-season and are open to athletes of all levels looking to stay active and advance their game.

Delmarva Rush Soccer Club is proud to recognize the exceptional performance of its girls teams at the 2026 Baltimore Mania Girls Weekend, one of the premier spring tournaments in the Mid-Atlantic region. Hosted by Elite Tournaments, the annual event took place March 28–29, 2026, featuring hundreds of teams from across the East Coast competing in a championship-style format across multiple age groups. Leading the way for Delmarva Rush, the 2012 Girls team captured their division title for the second consecutive year , continuing to establish themselves as one of the top teams in the region. Their dominant performance throughout the weekend demonstrated strong technical play, teamwork, and resilience under pressure. In addition to their tournament success, the 2012 Girls are currently ranked #1 in the state of Delaware according to GotSport rankings — further reinforcing their position as one of the top-performing teams in the state. With their championship finish, the team also earned an invitation to an exclusive international training experience in London with Arsenal F.C.. This opportunity will allow players to train in a world-class professional environment and gain exposure to the global game. “This is an incredible achievement for this group,” said the team's Head Coach Scott Bleile. “To win this tournament back-to-back, be recognized as the top-ranked team in the state, and earn an opportunity like this speaks volumes about their commitment and growth.” Also making a strong impression was the Delmarva Rush 2017–2018 Girls team , the club’s youngest travel team and just in their second season of competitive play. The team secured a third-place finish with a 1-1-1 record, showcasing tremendous development, confidence, and competitiveness against more experienced opponents. “For such a young team, this result is something to be proud of,” said Head Coach, Sara Scheid. “They competed hard all weekend and showed how much they’ve grown in a short amount of time.” Delmarva Rush Soccer Club continues to build momentum on the girls side , reinforcing its commitment to developing players, competing at a high level, and creating meaningful opportunities both on and off the field. Our Delmarva Rush 2015 Boys had a fantastic weekend competing in the FC Europa Turf Cup – Showcase, finishing second place after a strong run through the tournament. The team showed great effort, teamwork, and resilience throughout the weekend, competing against quality opponents and representing Delmarva Rush with pride. Their hard work and determination paid off with a well-earned spot in the championship match. Congratulations to the players and coaches on a great tournament performance.
