Champions: 2016 Boys & 2015 Girls
Delmarva Rush Soccer Club proudly wrapped up a successful weekend at the Cecil Fall Blast Soccer Tournament held November 15–16, where four teams represented the club across boys’ and girls’ divisions. The tournament showcased competitive matchups from across the region, and Delmarva Rush athletes delivered standout performances, teamwork, and determination.
Delmarva Rush was represented by the 2016 Boys, 2018 Boys, 2015 Girls, and 2017 Girls teams. The club celebrated two championship titles and a finalist finish among impressive overall results.
The 2016 Boys earned the championship title in their bracket, winning all three matches and allowing only three goals against across the weekend. Their balanced team play, smart defending, and consistent pressure created a strong foundation for success.
The 2015 Girls dominated their division, finishing the tournament as champions with a perfect shutout weekend. They won all three matches without conceding a single goal—an extraordinary achievement that showcases both strong defensive unity and confident attacking play.
Finalists: 2018 Boys
The 2018 Boys team turned in an impressive performance of their own, advancing to the championship match and finishing as finalists. Their run to the finals highlighted the team’s resilience, growth, and competitive spirit.
Strong Effort: 2017 Girls
The 2017 Girls placed 5th out of 6 teams in a challenging bracket. While facing tough competition, the players demonstrated determination, teamwork, and continued skill development that sets a positive trajectory for future tournaments.
“We’re incredibly proud of all four teams,” said the Delmarva Rush Head of Player Development Shannon Anfuso.
“From championship wins to hard-fought games, every group displayed effort, growth, and true Rush character. These results reflect the dedication of our players, families, and coaches.”
As the club builds on this successful weekend and begins preparing for the next phase of the season, Delmarva Rush is gearing up for its Winter Academy and Indoor Training Program, beginning in January. These sessions help players continue refining their skills during the off-season and are open to athletes of all levels looking to stay active and advance their game.
Delmarva Rush congratulates all players and families on a fantastic tournament weekend and looks forward to a strong winter of training and development.
